How Do You Dance the Steps the Lord Has For You?

"The steps of a man are established by the Lord, when He delights in his way." Psalm 37:23 (ESV)

As any good female ballroom dancer knows, you have to follow the lead of your partner. If you don't have a dance partner, no problem. We all can follow our spiritual partner, the Lord.

In my novel "Her Last Dance," there was something missing in the main character's life. What was that missing component? Trusting in her Savior to guide her instead of trying to plan and manage her own life.

How do we do that? Have a conversation with the Lord. Ask Him how you're doing and what you should be doing

, in prayer, or just talk with him. And listen to the thoughts that come to you when you concentrate and meditate on the one who created you. He gives you strength every day to do what you have to do, even in these difficult times. For God loves you (see John 3:16) enough to sacrifice his son for you. He delights in your ways.
